Oh no, drove down to DC area today to pick up a VPI 16.5, and stopped by another crackhouse, this one is huge, not good! :duh

Got about equal measure Classical and Jazz, many Classical cleaner versions of things I had, but Jazz all new.

Good move grabbing a 16.5. It's a must have for anyone who is is serious about searching through used record stores.

What kind of fluid do you plan on using?

I posted a thread on AC asking folks if they have a 'magic elixir' for vacumn machines.

Right now using a Nitty Gritty - Nylon Bristle Brush ( black 1/2 " bristle) brush and Wayner's recipe of distilled water + 91% Iso Alch + dab of Dawn detergent.

Disk Doctor - great stuff with either a hand brush or a machine.

Dammit D - what time where you there? I was there from 12:30 to 2, then drove to DD to meet Bill and spend even more money.

So I got to the crackhouse to meet Mr and Mrs Eleazar after hitting PREX, the demon owner had posted he had 8 more boxes of classical for me to peruse.

I walked in the door, and there was Eleazar holding a clean copy of Lee Morgan's "The Sidewinder". This is noteworthy as the demon owner has a limited, deep groove issue of this lp on the wall with a $100 price tag, oh how I lust to own it. But $100??? I don't think so.

Anyway, on examining the $8 copy, a promo copy, all we saw was a faint scratch on 1st song, 2nd side, so I bought it.

Cleaned it this morning, the scratch is inaudible - yea!
