This was the last time that John Denver played at the Aspen Music Festival with Lee Holdridge conducting the orchestra. It was also one of the very few times in 1991 that John played with a full band.
This concert was one of the first ones that promoted "Different Directions" album, and several songs from the album were premiered at this concert, including "The Foxfire Suite", which would not be done again in concerts until the summer of 1994.
