voltage and current burn in

(1/2) > >>

Nick B:
I’ve had the Hagerman burn in devices for a while … Frybaby3 for cables and Frycorder2 for power cords. They work great. Nowadays I don’t want to spend time listening for many hours to monitor changes in SQ.

When I read the user manual for the first time, there were instructions for a voltage and for a current burn in. I’d never heard of this before. The voltage burn in mode is for 2 days and requires the cables are only connected to the device on one end. The current mode is 3 days and the cables are connected on both ends to create a loop. Here’s a link from the Hagerman website

There are other burn in devices on the market, but I’m not familiar with them. Do most of the other devices use both modes or just voltage or just current? Ultimately, if there are enough hours on your system, does it really matter what method(s) are used to getting the maximum performance out of the cables?

All of TWL cables are preliminary "burned-in" using a High Power audiodharma Cable Cooker prior to shipping...
