Rich,

Were you able to get good enough acoustics in your room for the DSP to stand out as you expected? Are there some limitations as to what the DSP can't satisfactorily correct?

Nick

HAL:
Nick,
I brought two diffusor walls, bass traps and side wall reflection 5ft absorber panels and installed in the room.  Worked very well.

There were no limitations doing correction in the hotel size bedroom.  Had response to 30Hz with the LRS when the OB subs were added.  This is a music system not a HT setup, so articulate clean bass was heard.

This was a prototype idea of a non-servo OB modular sub that uses DSP response correction.  It worked well to me.  Did this to demo for one of my customers that was interested in the idea.  He could not come, but his daughter came and videoed the demo and could give him feedback on what she heard.  She was very happy with the sound quality.  This was with what I would call an entry level LRS system with a 1x12 with the standard DAC's not his 3.7's, but the sound change easily came through.
