connect 2 subwoofers - one smaller
malloy:
I have 2 RELs, 2 different of models of the T/x series. A 6.5" and an 8". Discounting the uneven bass/frequency responses, can I connect them both to the amp and not damage anything?
Has anyone done this before?

If it’s an RCA ‘sub out’ on your amp, you can just use a Y splitter and send the signal to both subs- no issue.
More likely, since you have REL’s, you’re using the speaker level outputs- that’s ok too. Here from REL is a connection guide covering the various possibilities. https://rel.net/blog/2018-01-04/how-to/how-to-connect-my-rel/
I’m pretty sure also that any POWERED sub has a very high input impedance that would not affect your amp in a negative manner when connected in pairs.

Yes, I am using speaker level outputs. This is exactly the feedback I was hoping to get. Thanks!
And I am intrigued by the product in the link you gave. I wonder if any here has tried that?

I’m intrigued by the Buttkicker as well. Sounds like a drink we had in our college days

All the demos I see on YouTube are for the gaming versions. So, this is not really a sub, correct? It is just haptics and motion? Like those Sensurround systems of the Rollercoaster disaster flicksof the 70s?
I wonder if it imitate the bass pressure I feel during live events?
