I keep finding new 'groups" and venues I personally enjoy. More Vivaldi, but a different musical
selection and group than the fire.

I thought I might also add this version for your thoughts.

Enjoy.

Thanks, Steve. I especially enjoyed the second video with two very young violinists 👍 🎶

Here is a selection with Hilary Hahn. natural violin, not sloppy, other natural instruments.
Nice range of frequencies to check for resonances, esp mids to highs. That violin should have
a nice flat response over its range. Soundstage.

On Youtube a little thin, but on Deezer, wow. (depends upon what "little" means)

Might check "Hilary Hahn Sarasate carmen fantasy" on Qobuz or Roon etc.

Frankfurt

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNjDTf6iXUA    (15:09)

Frankfurt, redbook obviously better.

https://www.deezer.com/search/Hilary%20Hahn%20Sarasate%20carmen%20fantasy
(just a portion, 3:14)

I did some looking around on YouTube and was surprised at how good the quality is on some of the videos. I have an IPhone that I use only for music which goes into my preamp with a digital Bluetooth board that feeds my DAC and back into the preamp.
Can?t imagine what a top notch server would sound like. Time to do some shopping😁

The comparison varies somewhat. Most of the time, redbook or higher is better to much better.
However, I have also heard YT sounding better than redbook.

Here is an interesting link in that Wendy let's us compare three different cellos.

The first, starts at 1:22 is a $5,000 cello, the second at 3:14 is a $180,000 cello, and the
third at 6.06 is a $1,000,000 strad cello.

I think of this comparison as another tool to check one's system, especially in the lower regions.

Is your system transparent enough for you to perceive the differences? The quality of the room,
speaker placement, and/or components could be masking the true inner detail, thus sounding the same.

Maybe just a small adjustment in speaker placement could improve the lower registers. Or maybe you
find that all is quite well with your system, no tweaks necessary.

Thought I would add this link where Wendy discusses bows.

I never thought much about a harp, but then I am not sure I have ever heard a live harp solo.
With my stereo, I appreciate these selections.

Very nicely recorded, a glorious sound imo. Lower registers are a tough test imo.

Canon in D, multiple harps

I had to include this young 9 years old lady, when checking some selections, nicely done.

I had forgotton Bogdan on Norway's Got Talent. This link includes 3 of Bogdan's selections.
I am very impressed with his talent in both composing and piano playing. I hope his future
is fantastic. Yes, he won Norways Got Talent.

Same selection by the Fire.

What wonderful recording quality. Thanks Dave.

Folks, as you listen to your favorite guitar and piano selections, see how natural they
sound compared to these two selections, even though YouTube Premium.

The first is Dave's selection, an absolutely wonderful guitar recording.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giH6otNqwiU

The second is a piano playing all 88 keys. Check your system from bass through treble for any
resonances or other abnormalities. This recording is truly amazingly accurate.

Really outstanding quality. After traveling to so. California for Christmas and then being stuck in traffic for 8 hours yesterday on the way back, I'll be enjoying some Snuffy Walden tonight 🎶
