David Cassidy RIP

I remember listening to this album on my Zenith Console. I'm sure I wore it out

The show was on Friday nights at 8PM, I believe. Corny but good fun

My favorite back in the day that still holds it own today

RIP David

This year is hard on drummers... Now it is Neil Peart.  Lot a 3-1/2 year battle with glioblastoma.

Peart's passing came as a shock, as I was wondering what he was up to lately. He supposedly quit drumming and Rush entirely since he could not play at the technical level he wanted to due to arthritis.

Lyle Mays, keyboardist for decades with the Pat Metheny group has died after battling a long standing illness.

I don't know that he ever got the credit he deserved for his role in all those spectacular compositions and recordings. He did play with other people occasionally but most of his work was with Metheny. He was a unique voice in that group and a fabulous orchestrator. He was 66.

Met him when we did sound for the Pat Metheny Group at Paolo Soleri amphitheater in Santa Fe back in the early '80s.  They were all (Metheny, Lyle, Danny Gotllieb and Steve Rodby) kind and appreciative plus they killed it that night!
