Your Five Favorite “Pop” Tunes?
« on: March 03, 2023, 04:05:06 PM »
I put pop in quotes because I wanted to keep this light; no classical ( though my most listened to genre).

I know this will change with moods, and five is really not enough- but I’ll begin…

Carpet Crawlers- Genesis
Theme From Shaft- Isaac Hayes
The Life Auction- Strawbs
Angelsea- Cat Stevens
Dogs- Pink Floyd

I’m interested in what moves other members- I know there’s so much out there that I’m not aware of, so please post a few if you’re up to it. Sound quality has nothing to play here- just what you like…
PS- Already I’ve got one more- ‘Me And You And A Dog Named Boo- Lobo
PPS- Five is definitely not enough, I know…

Luxman L- 590 AX MK2
Esoteric K-07X
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit SB
Audience Au24SE
PI Cat6
Spatial Audio M3 Turbo S
Stereo Hsu ULS-15 Mk2
Supra Classic 6.0

It's really interesting listening to what music speaks to people.
I find one song on the list to be great, one to be listenable, and three that I'd change the channel if they came on the radio.
So much variety in music.   It's a wonderful thing.

I've got too many to list!  50, maybe.  Five?  No way.

I get that.  I just picked 5 that sorta came to mind.  If I did the list today I'd probably have 4 different on the list.

Same here. I didn't even ask the OP if his question is isolated to original compositions (i.e. original artist performing a song he/she wrote) or if covers (i.e. any artist performing a song he/she did not write) are included. I assumed an original composition.  :-P
