The Audiophile Junkie stopped by the room for a demo of the system.

Here is his video report:

Thanks for posting, Rich. Great video and interviews. I've only been seeing the short clips from the audiophile junkie and from OCD Mikey. I'm curious how long a process it is to determine the specific room acoustics  and set the DSP to adjust for it.

Nick,
Using Room EQ Wizard and a balanced calibrated measurement mic into the dspNexus, it can be done in about 1-2 hours with having REW calculate the correction filters for the measured response at the listening position and then input the data into the Audio Weaver DSP filter processing.

In our case, I guide you through the measurement process at your place remotely and then send the updated  Audio Weaver crossover design block diagram to run on the dspNexus.  You have the mic and move it as needed for the measurements.  If you are happy with the results the design can then be flashed to the dspNexus and it just start running it from power up.

The CAF2025 show is complete.  Room is now packed and ready to go home.

This is the final picture of the system.

The two ExMachina Mira subs on the outsides of the planars and not connected.  Set them up so people can see the 3D printed cabinets with machined front baffles.

Glad it went well, Rich. I've not seen anything like those subs. Am curious who came up with the idea of 3d printing, what material was used for the enclosure etc. Have you heard a functioning unit?

Nick,
ExMachina uses 3D printing for their speakers and the Mira subs.  ExMachina Soundworks is a pro audio company and Danville asked them to design an open baffle sub to use with the planars for dipole radiation pattern.  The holes are on both sides and back of the cabinet.  The front panel is machined Velcromat. Not sure of the 3D printing material. Everything well damped.

We used the inner pair of Mira subs for the entire show with the Magnepan Open Architecture Concept speakers.  They are very low distortion 10in drivers with long excursion and modified SEAS to ExMachina specs.

They mate very seamlessly with the planars.  We used them from 30Hz to 150Hz and the planars above for the show.  Sounded very good to me with all the music we played.

Thanks for the explanation, Rich. A very unique and interesting idea. I also found their website.
