Was going to go to beach yesterday, but forecast was for T-storms all day.

For past week, Pumpkinman's crackhouse had been showing some great, audiophile jazz pressings online, not the norm.

So I drove up to get Kenny Burrell - Midnight Blue, as its one I've been looking for.

Well, it was a Music Matters release as most of the others I'd watched all week were. And he wanted $75, too rich for my blood.

But I did grab 2 MoFi releases from Miles 2nd great quintet;

Miles in the Sky
Filles de Kilimanjaro

At checkout, behind the register, was the MoFi boxed set of;

Kind of Blue

So that came home with me as well, even though it wasn't on my 'want' list.

My daughter starts grad school at Harvard next week so yesterday we drove her up to Boston to get her settled in the dorm. And while looking around the neighborhood what did I come across but a record store called Stereo Jack's. Well this afternoon I thought it would be a good idea to get out of the way while the ladies worked on decorating her room. hey, any excuse is better than none. 😉

Not really a top shelf store, but the did have a decent amount of stuff for one to three dollars.

As a result of my buying spree over the past week I currently have piles of over 50 LPs and a dozen CDs that are awaiting their first spins.
