Interesting indeed, look like it provides a useful function for a reasonable price.

But after reading their material I am left with two important questions. First and most importantly, if it is interfacing analog devices to your streaming setup, what format and bit rate is it streaming them in. In the specs they say that digital formats are limited to 192/24, but that is what all Bluesound units handle in the digital domain. They do not specify what the A/D rates are for the analog inputs. If it is indeed 192 that would be fine, OK, but if they are sending it around your system in mp3 that is a show stopper for most of us.

The other than the bit rate I wonder if this unit will interface with streaming system other than Bluesound, in my case specifically, Roon. From a marketing perspective it would certainly limit their potential customer base if this unit is usable only with other Bluesound equipment.  (my Bluesound Node work seamlessly with Roon, so the company is at least already Roon aware.)

Time will tell....
Remember, it's all about the music........
