I'll not follow my own advice though - Fostexes can be very limited.  Other solutions for SET amps are much more extended and better.  My Definition Pros will do 25 hz at 95 db without blinking thanks to their sub arrays and 500 wpc of Crown power.  They blend SET immediacy and unreal bass seamlessly.

I'm really excited about what Rhethm is doing with Lowthers and powered bass systems and I'd love to hear a great horn setup some day.

Consider the Fostex sound a toe in the water.
