Hi all.
Sooooo....
Almost 25 years ago I arrived with my Naim + B&W + linn system
and 15 years later I sold it.
I was left with only a small Soney receiver with built in CDP...After visiting a customer of mine
(A well known photographer who bought lots of studio flashes from me) he showed me his system:
Lowether driver in horn enclosure with a tube amplifier that he built himself, well, that's what he said.
I was impressed with the micro details that came out of the speakers,
however, the room acoustic was non, sound like we were in a bathroom,
just terrible, plus very little bass coming out of his speakers.
But anyway, that made me start looking on the Internet for some Hi-Fi audio stuff.
I discover lots of audio manufacturers did I nerver heard of, like,
Decware, GR Research, Omega, PI Audio, PAudio, Bottlehead, Audio Nirvana and more...
I decided to buy the Decware SE84C+ with a pair of 8'' Audio Nirvana extended range drives
in an open baffle configuration.
My source was basic (Cheap) automatic Sony turntable
and I used the Soney receiver to spin CDs.
I was pleasantly surprise with the mids and high but I knew tha bass would not be there.
So I took two 8'' B&W drivers from my DM3000 (Two on each side) in again an OB set-up
driven by a small Sone sub woofer (Built-in 3'' sub woofer, don't get much bass out of that, of course it's for near filed listening)
with 30 watts (Mono) to power four 8'' woofer.
So I got some bass but....
Next Evolution on my next post.
