Just received an email that Harry Pearson passed away last night in his home in Sea Cliff, Long Island (NY)... He was 77 years old...
We learned a lot from HP in pursuit of the Absolute Sound!
We will miss you, HP! Rest in Peace!

I guess we know what picture will be on the cover of TAS next month
He was an innovator in audio reviewing, and a character.

One of a kind for sure. We should be proud awarding Harry a Lifetime Achievement award and honoring Him with a dinner sponsored by our club.
A character he was. So intense. His home systems were the bomb. The Maggie room was an experience to be had.
You will be missed Harry may you rest in eternal peace.

That dinner was certainly a great night. While Harry may have come off as pompous in print I have to say that in person he was a real gentleman and a pleasure to talk with. But there were not to many people who were as passionate about what they do as Harry was.
The news reports say that he was found in his Sea Cliff home. I can only hope that he went sitting in the sweet spot with his favorite record playing on the reference system.
RIP HP
