HAL at PAAG and NJAG meeting
(1/1)
HAL:
Attended the PAAG meeting in PA with the New Jersey Audio Group members. Presentations on the Egg speakers shown in the picture. All the system electronics are located on the floor below the audio room.
I gave a talk with Q&A about the Danville Signal EA dspNexus 2x8 in the system running as the DSP crossover for the speakers running the DSP Concepts Audio Weaver DSP software design.
The room treatments are from SonitusUSA that the owner installed after consultation on what was needed for the custom audio room.
It is a great sounding system!
Nick B:
Hi Rich,
Can you elaborate on the speakers? I did a search under Egg, but could not find a similarly shaped speaker.
Nick
HAL:
These were custom built based on a design that was the Waveform Research Mach 17 speakers. These are heavily modified from the originals.
There are multiple articles in AudioXpress magazine about them. Here is one, but did not find the original design issues:

Here is a review of the original Waveform Research Mach 17 speaker:
