Title: Audiophile A/D Converter
Post by: tmazz on July 23, 2010, 12:21:11 PM
I just got an e-mail from Musicdirect talking about the limited time availability of an A?D converter from Wadia. I thought it might be of interest to some of you music server guys who might have some LPs laying around that you would like to digitize and store with your other computer audio files.

I really don't know anything about the unit other than what I read in the link from the ad:

For all you people who have an old Art DI/O lying around, that was exactly what this little unit was designed for. If it is a modded DI/O then you may be SOL, since one of the mods was to pull the diodes that powered the A-D section of the DAC and remove the tube, which was only for the A-D section. Easy enough to put them back in though, and a much cheaper alternative to this Wadia, even if on sale.
