These speakers need no introduction. They were purchased by a customer along with a full custom built system. Due to work related issues, a move and other things, he decided not to take posession of the system. The speakers were shipped to him but never even hooked up. The are Mappa Burl and obviously perfect. He needs to move them quickly hence the very low price.
The Crescendo sells currently for $14,000 pr. so this is a chance to pick up a pair of brand new speakers and save $5,000.
One problem...... due to space issues, he took them out of the boxes and tossed all the boxes and packaging material so they would have to be picked up in NYC.
Like the Adagio speakers mentioned in the other thread, these speakers are being sold for someone else and we are not making money on these.
I just figured it was a great oppurtunity for someone looking for a pair of these speakers to save a whole lot of money on a brand new pair.
I'll ask my wife...hehe

Road Trip
To bad they were not here with me although if they were, you know the crossovers would have been pulled out and completely rebuilt and in external enclosures by now

The real trick will not be putting them in the sleigh, but rather getting them down the chimney! (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f24/hephaestus61/Smiley%20animations/Santa-in-Chimney.gif)
Okay guys,
I just heard from the owner....... any interest at $7,750 for this brand new pair.
I love the Crescendos and that's a stupid good deal. Somebody is going to get really lucky on this one.

There must be a way to get a new set of boxes & packing material from Acoustic Zen. This is an excellent price but, I can't make the trip to pick them up. Anyone with insight or connections on this? I could be quite interested...
At that price you could almost pay a professional shipping company to pack them up all custom-like.
Man, that is a killer deal. I heard them at RMAF this year and it was a heavenly setup. Somebody's going to get lucky there.
Mike, this local guy is a great reference for pack and ship. He mailed my Ushers to MO, made it very easy. Palletize with metal band, black plastic wrap, book the truck with insurance, liftgate pickup and delivery, for about $900. Ushers weighed more and were bigger than these. That was back in the trucking glut, and cheap fuel, so prices might be a little higher now. His company, Navis has franchises all over the country, maybe he can arrange the delivery for you with Bill's local Navis franchisee. They can build crates, etc.

Somebody here has boxes for them that he doesn't want. He contacted me a while back and I responded but haven't heard back from him yet. I wonder one of the NY'rs has a truck or wagon and wanted to pick them up when they come up here for the get-together on March 12th??
