Has anyone heard this dac yet? I am looking to upgrade from my Bryston Bda-1

I have.....but keep in mind I'm Wyred's rep for Canada.
With that out of the way, I have heard the BDA-1 and the DAC-2 side by side and preferred the DAC-2 and not by a little.
For the money, I think Wyred's DAC's are tough to beat for the money and judging from the glowing reviews that are all over the net from reviewers and owners alike, I'm not the only one who thinks so.
Here is a review. Seems very tempting but so does the Tranquility Dac if your just looking for a USB Dac.

yes... the one and only :)
I would need a remote control too... but I wouldnt be using the USB. And it seems to have all the connections I need.
Ive read the reviews & it seems like a great dac.
What are the qualities of the Wyred when compared to the Bryston.. side by side.

He has since their inception. Unfortunately the first one he took delivery of arrived a week after his rave.

Mike, if you're going to Clearsound you might want to ask Neil about the new DAC/headamp/preamp combo unit just released by Burson Audio. I have not heard it yet, but Srajan also reviewed the Burson HA-160D and said he preferred the Burson to the Weiss in his current setup. Interesting review.

Burson is also going to be releasing a standalone DAC based on the HA-160D, with additional options, and I would assume at a reasonable price. Just something else to consider. :)
Audio Gd DACs also interest me, but I have yet to meet anyone who has one. :?
The Burson does not have remote capabilities. Regardless, it is also a very nice sounding DAC and IMO sounds pretty similar to the DAC-2.

Not only does the Burson not have a remote, it also does not have balanced line connections--which would be a nice option--while the Wyred has both. Still, a shootout between the Bryston, Burson, and Wyred might be interesting.
