Title: Test Records...What are you using?
Post by: Putz on January 26, 2012, 07:20:06 PM
So the popular choices seem to be:

HIFI NEWS - TEST LP PRODUCER'S CUT

ULTIMATE ANALOG TEST LP - ANALOGUE PRODUCTIONS TEST LP

CARDAS - FREQUENCY SWEEP & BURN IN LP version 2

MOBILE FIDELITY - MFSL GEO-DISC

Anyone using one of these or just want to chime in on which one you prefer for help with Cart/Arm setup.

I wouldn't call the Geodisc a test record.  It's an alignment tool.

I use the Hi-Fi News test LP for Tracking force and VTA adjustments. I run a linear tracker so a lot geometry problems are non-existent or are handled with a straight edge or a framing square.

Has anyone tried the Clearaudio family of Test LPs?

Audio Advisor Review - Clearaudio Test & Optimization LPs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMJt00XZDpY#)

I saw this batch of LPs and was wondering about the Clearaudio Burn-In record too.

I have burn-in and test CDs but haven't gotten around this for LPs. Trying to find a quality one.

Thanks in advance.
