I woke up this morning to find out that the Purity Audio Design "Silver Statement w/Ultra GT Power Supply" linestage review has been published on 6-Moons.

I don't know why the author was skeptical of 6SN7s though, are they not the most linear amplification device available? I love my 6SN7 preamp.

I have a review upcoming from 6Moons and from a French Audiophile magazine on my entire cable loom (a first)... should be coming out in the fall... Preliminary comments from the reviewers was, "For the price asked, they are undoubtedly a bargain."
We need to join forces one of these days...

I think his comments are based on past experiences maybe? The 6SN7 is very linear but as we all know, it depends on more than just the tube used. It's the whole design. Myself, I still prefer the 12AU7 (of course it is basically a 9 pin version of the 6SN7) which is why you can also use 12AU7s in all the Purity preamps.

I already know how well the Dave and Bill offerings play together in the earthly realm (Leanna and D3). I can't even imagine a Silver Statement with D4s all around. :beer:
