Title: OK. Here I go...

Streaming sucks.

I've heard everything from a Node to Innuos.  None of them sound "right" to me.

The only thing that even comes close to analog reproduction is wishful thinking.

It can, however sound very very good (convenient).

There's much more convenience in streaming as in choosing exactly what tracks I want to hear and there's a tremendous amount of music available to me online. My pocketbook couldn't afford all that I enjoy and I'm downsizing as well.

Life is full of compromises and the sound, at least to me, can be very, very good 🎵

I like CDs....

But I have heard streaming sound ok. Convenience tends to win with age. I'm an analog person for now though, and for awhile.

A small trick that only sometimes sorta works is there is like a down arrow or something in Tidal that lets you select versions so sometimes you can listen to a better mastering (probably less recent). And sometimes the good masterings are simply not on streaming...
