Don't hold your breath. R2R Tapes as well are $400 to 1K. Not for us common Folk.

If some guys can afford it, great. It's fun to read their comments without me spending my money. Streaming is way cheaper and I am willing to compromise on the sound quality a little bit because of the convenience. Although I enjoyed playing records on my very good analog set up, I just would not be able to trade the slightly better sound quality for the convenience of being able to select and program the exact cuts I would want to listen to. That is not doable on an album or a reel to reel tape.

For me affording it is not the issue. Just cost of entry is IMHO too high.If I owned tapes a REVOX R2R would be on hand Then again all good stuff is expensive.
