That is how audiophiles learn, making mistakes. That is why we have Dealers to help put together a system that has a synergy. Money is NOT the answer to great sound. Knowing what goes with what is the key. Things like input impedance, gain matching, function matters. Cables matter however they will not fix an issue. Dry is dry, bright is bright, hard is hard. They may help but not eliminate the main issue.
