Should I or Shouldn't I?

I have an opportunity to get a Fisher FM90B (vintage 1967) complete with its wood cabinet for $125.00.  I haven't seen it or played with it yet, but I presume it's in good shape.

I don't listen to FM very much and my city doesn't really offer much in the way of radio.  I'm thinking I may be able to turn it over for a little profit.

Well, there is one on ebay currently at $10.50 with 2 bids on it.
So if $$$ is your motivation, I'd say no ;)

You can read a little more about Fischer tunas here:

Scroll down to Fischer section

Buy it only if you want to listen to FM radio on a vintage tube tuner. Forget about profit. If it has not already been modernized with new caps and tubes, cleaned and aligned I would say nix it.

I agree with Rich and Barry, If you want to buy it to own and enjoy, go for it. But if you are looking for a piece to turn over for a quick profit I would look somewhere else.

(BTW - the ebay auction Barry was talking about just closed with a final selling price of $128.50 which I'm not sure would even cover your purchase price plus the cost of the ebay listing.)
