Shoe Box size Rooms

  So according to the experts the best sounding Halls to hear music, especially Opera are Shoe Box designs. Do they conform to the Golden ratio ? Can we scale down a version for home use ? Interesting.

Not sure what you mean.  IMO the bigger the better.  My 8 ft x 13 ft x 21 ft listening room follows the Cardas formula (nearly the 5:8 Greek "golden rectangle" and the six GIK 244 panels do almost nothing for me.

When they are talking about a shoebox style hall they are really talking about the shape and not necessarily the size,

  Richadoo strikes again, great find. I found it interesting that stage height was either 39" 0r 42" . That the side wall reflections [ not absorbtion] were figured in.
