Saw The Vanilla Fudge at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park tonite. 3 of the 4 original members (no Tim Bogert) are touring right now. It was their first show on the tour. As an added treat they played their first album in it's entirety to begin the show. I wore out that first album as a teenager way back when and not one weak song on it culminating with their Supremes on acid version of You Keep me Hanging On.

Carmine Appice did about a ten minute drum solo which he dedicated to his friend, Joe Morelo. They closed with Dazed and Confused and related how Led Zeppelin was their opening act back in '68 when they first came to the States.
