Stealth Battery Covering*

I just had to snap off a few quick iPhone pix to show all of you my new invention!!!

I was in the middle of pulling my whole system apart (long story) and I thought to myself, God how I hate that UGLY gray & blue battery in my rack for my Dodd VGP pre-amp.  I asked my daughter if she had any black construction paper... No!   Whattabout black cardboard? No!   OK... how 'bout a pair of black pantyhose that have a run in them and you can't wear any more?  Uhmnnn, maybe...

Check out the end result in the attached pix below.

Other than the circle opening on the top (blue battery top with orange sticker) and the bottom where no one can see anyway, the whole battery is now covered in a sheer black "stocking".  When it's on my audio rack and viewed from it's sides, it just blends right in with the rest of my black audio equipment, rack and shelving.

Whattaya think!?!  Pretty stealthy, huh!?!

Not bad. Pretty slick usage of stockings. If you get tired of that color would you use speaker grill cloth the next time?

Nice mod. I use a couple of cigar boxes for each of my batteries, just drill the appropriate size hole in one end of the box for the cable.
