Interesting article involving the shape of electrons. How the shape affects sonic qualities,
if at all would be quite interesting, since different conductive materials do
"sound" different.

With dc current through a wire, mass affects the speed of electron movement. Within a vacuum,
an electron moves exceedingly fast. Within copper wire, the speed is about that of syrup.

With ac current, electrons simply vibrate.

With both dc and ac current, a combination of electron movement and vibration.

Of course, above absolute zero temperature, electrons/atoms/sub atomic particles vibrate
at their own rate. Atomic clocks utilize the vibration, of say, cesium.
