I received this email today, about free summer concerts at Meredith College this summer. I used to sub in this band, they are really good. Probably the best pro big band in N. Carolina. They rehearse a lot for these concerts and some great soloists.  It's in a huge open grassy field with seating on surrounding hillside (amphitheater.)  Kids even babies can walk and run around in plain sight.
