When only the best will do - Purity Silver Statement SE

SOme time ago I started the build of a very special Silver Statement preamp for an industry professional. This piece was started prior to our ggoing with the acrylic chassis so it is construced of Baltic Birch with  Sapele Pommelle real wood veneer.

I won't go into all the goodies that were incorperated into this unit (maybe more on that later?) but as you can see below, the heart and soul of this piece is the Dueland Cast capacitors. These also have .50uF Silver Bypass built in.

Talk about all out! I have never seen or heard of anyone taking the plunge for the Deuland's. Lovely piece. You were very descret and didn't shock us out of bed with the price. I look forward to "hearing" more. The stuff of dreams.

Okay, I'll give you some details on this unit. First, this is the piece that inspired the Silver Statement but has since evolved into what will eventually become the Silver Statement Ultra. I cannot yet provide all the details on the Ultra but here are [some] of the features incorporated into this particular unit.

** = standard on the Silver Statement

- Dueland VSA coupling capacitors with built in .50uF Silver Bypass
** Secondary autoformers allowing for 6 different output gain settings
** Active/Passive switch
- Top of the line WBT Nex-Gen Silver RCA connectors
- Solid Silver internal wiring with cotton insulation
- Solid Silver with Teflon insulation umbilical cord (connecting power supply to analog chassis)
** Power supply storage banks made up of 24 polypropylene capacitors
- Custom laser engraved front panels
- Tape output
- Baltic Birch Chassis

I drove up to visit with Bill this past Monday, and pick up my Purity One, and saw this piece.
