I remember when they were selling them out of the small sound room in the back of Record World in Roosevelt Field   during the same time frame. With the orange foam grills. Also worked in a couple of different recording studios back then. JBLs were the gold standard in control room monitors back the, along with McIntosh power amps.
Remember, it's all about the music........

Well, I found some more....JBL-S38II Black Studio Series, 3-way sizeable bookshelf speaker that for whatever reason works really well with my room and gear, this is like heaven!!! $50 Craigslist :thumb:
