I'm picking up an old turntable and tuner from Bill (pumpkinman) for my 16 year old daughter as part of her Christmas present this year. Yes, she wants to spin vinyl and has already amassed a collection of about 30 albums.

But I need an inexpensive cartridge to mount on it. Anyone have anything in a drawer in good working order that would be appropriate? I really don't want to spend more than $25-$30 or thereabouts.

Thanks,
Bob

I enjoy this combo on an older DD Turntable I have.

Audio Technica AT-10 Cart

This stylus is also enjoyable on it.

Sometimes you can find the AT10 cart for dirt cheap and then with the ATS11E stylus to me you can have a really enjoyable cart.

Good luck with the search.

I wanted to pick this up - AT95C

No sense getting an elliptical stylus since the TT won't have a VTA adjustment, but LP Gear wants $9 shipping over the $30 price. I might as well get the AT95E form Amazon for $40 with free shipping.

I have an Ortofon 2M Red you can have for the price.  About 15-25 hours on it.
