Seeing The Who at Nassau Coliseum this coming Thursday with Pete and Campy and my daughter. Hoping for a great show - never seen them live before. Just one of those bands to see before they die, so I can check them off my bucket list.

They stole the "Sandy" show at MSG. Just like they did at the 9-11 concert.

As Flounder said: This is gonna be great!

I also saw them in one of their reunion tours at MSG -- it was in 1979.

They were great last night, them old rockers... Roger was in great shape but was tiring at the end; Pete didn't miss a beat & was fantastic! Zak Starkey played his heart out & was literally dripping in the end...

Great show... Well worth it!

It was great the way they integrated audio & video footage of both Keith Moon and John Entwistle a la "Zappa plays Zappa."

Last Night's lineup (AFAIK)

Roger Daltrey – lead vocals, harmonica, acoustic guitar
Pete Townshend – lead guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals

Keith Moon – vocals (via audio and archival footage)
John Entwistle – bass (via audio and archival footage)

Frank Simes - music director, keyboards, vocals
Zak Starkey – Drums
Pino Palladino – bass guitar
Simon Townshend - rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals, mandolin
John Corey - keyboards
Loren Gold - keyboards, vocals
J. Greg Miller - horns
Reggie Grisham - horns

Great show!

They played the entirety of Quadrophenia, then, taking a short break on stage while Pete told a long story they segued into some old favorites.

Who Are You
Behind Blue Eyes
Won't Get Fooled Again
Pinball Wizard
Baba O-Rielly

and closed with some acoustic piece I never heard before just Rodger and Pete on stage.

The Who and Elvis Costello are playing a benefit concert at Theater at Madison Square Garden this Thursday. Smallish venue for them. I'm seeing tix on ebay for below cost (under $100). Haven't found anyone to go to the show with yet so figured I'd check here if anyone's interested.
