One night in NYC question

I just booked a place on 9th ave through airbnb.

So Carl....how would you rate your "AirBnB" experience ?

It was fine, no real problems.  The guy burned incense and cooked curried chicken which I didn't like.  But I had my own room, with a window and an AC unit which made it easy to sleep.  Very comfortable.. I felt safe.

A long day and a big Italian dinner with friends might've helped me sleep too.

As to the concerns airBNB is dealing with now, of COURSE there's a law against it.. You aren't just free to do what you want... there HAS to be a tax to do something like that... Having a tax protects us all.   

I think the 'risk' argument doesn't work because you don't know what any of your neighbors are doing or what guests they're having anyway...

On a side note, both tenants of the apartment were there the whole time I stayed. (all 9 hours) So no NY laws were broken....
