Well the title says it all.  I think my linestage tubes, Telefunken E88CC and E188CC are just about at the end of their life.

Does anyone know of any divine replacement tubes for this preamp?

I use 1970 era Matsushita 6922 (branded as National) in my Cary, they are very nice. I heard a slight difference from the stock Sovtek 6922, but it was not big diff.

Great site. Very informative. With BAT stay to warm side of tubes, say Mullard, Matushita, RCA. Good luck.

Audio Jerry over at the Audiocircles refered me to Bruce Wenger who builds tube gear and also sells NOS tubes. he is not cheap but he is Good.i bought a Quad of Amperex 7308's for my BAT VK 3i from him last year and a pair of Amperex Holland ECC186 / 7316 PQs for the Candela earlier this year.www.bws-tube.com

I like tube depot. Service has been good from them. So has Eurotubes for JJ tubes only, new JJs often have a great sound, but can be noisy until warm. Andy at Vintage Tubes Services has good advice and selection for small tubes.
