Those are the old Empire Royal Grenadier speakers, all Steampunked out. Not very good sounding when new, more like a piece of furniture for the wife...now even the wife would hate them!

My Christmas present is silver-wired slagleformers for my 26 preamp. Hopefully a nice step up from the copper versions....still in the construction stages, hopefully have them by Christmas!

Not surprisingly, the listing ended and they didn't sell.

Without passing any judgement on people who would spend that kind of money on a speaker period, I would be hard pressed to imagine that there would be many , if any people who would drop that kind of coin for a speaker that they not only have never heard, but also did not even have a review in hand written by someone who had. I though it was kind of a crazy listing when I first saw it and now it looks like the general populace agreed with me.
