I use 9 ga. Reality Cables and 8 ga. homebrew in my system.

I use 4 strands of 12Ga THHN for the woofers, effectively 9Ga for each leg.

9ga Analysis plus on the mids/tweets which is way overkill but it does seem to sound good.

5ga JPS

I like 'em   8)  I've learned that these speakers can't get too much current or too big wires.

The Reality Cables are 9ga?!   I did not know that... That's what I use in my reference system... which is in limbo.

I currently use Home Depot in-wall 12ga speaker cable.  They are the finest plastic-sheathed strands of copper you can find. ;)
I really enjoy listening to music.

You've arrived, brother! A 'reference system' and a normal system.  8) That may be the first "reference system" reference ever made on AN!

I guess mine must be a reference system also as it is the only one I have to make references to.

gotta wonder sometimes how the outside world thinks when we have a display of man hood by how big our speaker cable is :yay2:

Where are the real men to blog here about how they soldered their respective amps / preamps directly to the speakers? Come on, you know you're out there...

What might be the effect of using 2 sets of the same brand speaker cables, in parallel, for speakers each with a single set of binding posts? For example, one could use a pair of SCs with spades, and another pair of SCs with bananas, for the amp-speaker connections for a pair of speakers each with only a pair of cable jacks, by using a [spade + banana] SC pair for each speaker. I don't know if it would do harm, good, or no change, might depend on capacitance and other parameters.

I tried it with slightly different solid core copper wires once, it sounded horrible. It was anticable and bill occonnells cotton telephone wire. Separately they each sounded good. Weird.
