Thanks, Vera!!! :) Both sound delicious and I know will be good.. I think the beans would probably be best, though...
I'm thinking of making bbq'd shrimp and maybe a few other things.. not sure yet.

I really enjoy listening to music.

Carl, I'm still hoping Hazel and I can make it but we've got a bit of juggling to do.

Since you clearly have enough beer, do you need anything else for the grill or wine or perhaps some dessert treats?

Carlman

Dessert items are always welcome! :)
Salad would be good too, though... or any green vegetable.

As to meat I'll have shrimp and beef.  If anyone has a high allergy to shrimp, let me know so I can cook things very separately.

Okay, I have told the chef to make baked beans and her choice of a cake or pie!

I have a couple of non audiophile friends that will be here.. 1 is female!  Christine may pariticipate also.. So if you were on the fence about bringing your wife, don't be!

I would like to thank Carl and Christine for a great audio, social evening.  Vera and I enjoyed the company, the food, beer, hospitality and the music.  The evening just flew by and we hated to leave but we feared that our dogs might have their legs crossed!

Thanks again!

Thanks for the fun time everyone. It was nice to see some friends that I usually only get to see at Carl's non audio events. But everyone was a music lover there tonight.

Thanks to all the chefs and especially to the hostess with the mostest.

I'll add my thanks to Carl and Christine, for their wonderful hospitality...again :thumb:!

It was great to see all of you again, and get to listen to some nice music, as well.

Have you ever noticed.... Anyone going slower than you is an idiot...and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

Glad to have you all.  :)  As host I usually end up scurrying around trying to do this and that.. and end up missing out on a lot of the fun.  This time was more casual and enjoyable.  My wife definitely helped make that a possibility... and I will extend a special thanks to her when she wakes up today. ;)

It was really nice to learn about people's audio tastes, why they liked their music, and the discussion that was sparked.  I feel like I'm kind of finished with gear for a while so I'm like a sponge to know more about music.  I also enjoy seeing people have a good time.  I was touched that so many people came and were willing to share their music this way.  I knew it was a little different but it was a joy to me... and I'd be willing to do that kind of G2G any time...

I have some other ideas for new music-focused meetings also.  More to come..

Thanks again to everyone.. Great food and fun. (Thanks, Vera!)

Bravo, Carl!  I, too, am operating in this mode - perhaps with less success than you.  But the changes and additions to my system last year have allowed me to just enjoy the music and be content with my system.  There will always be a bit of tweaking going on, but for now, I'm good!

Sorry I missed everyone yesterday... sounds exactly like the kind of G2G I would have thoroughly enjoyed and, equally important, been able to share with my sweet wife, Hazel, as well.

Carlman

Thanks, Mike.. I do think you and Hazel would've enjoyed this one..
There will be more, though.... So, we'll see you next time! :)
