Jim,Thanks very much for hosting a fabulous Rave in your beautiful home.

A long day of music - I left for Barry's at 9 AM and got home at 10:30!

I really enjoyed the Tannoys and was really smitten with the system in the library - Those speakers did no wrong to my ears.

Thanks for letting us swap the gear into the main system.

In the end I felt that your systems "as-is" were set up perfectly for your musical priorities, something that many audiophiles aren't able to do as well as you have!

Thank you Jim for hosting a great gathering, and thank you assembled Ravers for welcoming me.  I had a great time.

I'm also really glad I was able to play with my Wyered4Sound amp with some better upstream components (not to mention the major downstream Tannoys).  Oh yeah, where's my $50.00 tube-buffer that will totally imitate the sound of Mike's VAC preamp?

A few more system upgrades and I can relax for a while to attend to the analog side, getting ready to burn money. Next stop is a cheapo DAC is going to get me through the winter......

I look forward to seeing everyone again in October.

Let me also thank Jim and his wife for hosting us. It couldn't have been a nicer day, weather-wise. Jim's big Tannoys sounded great with the Jadis amp, and also with Mike's (mfsoa) Vac pre and Cherry amp.

Good food, good music. beautiful setting, but most of all, great people - what can I say? A fantastic day!

I want to add my voice to the chorus of thanks to Jim and his wife for opening their home to us.  It was a great day.  And always a pleasure to spend time with so many enthusiastic and friendly faces.

I want to echo my thanks to Jim and Jane for hosting another terrific rave.  The usual rave suspects, a semi-rare sighting of Mike Fox, an even rarer sighting of Josh, some new faces, great views, great weather, great food and great music all contributed to make the day totally enjoyable.

Actually Jim, I hate your speakers now 'cause now mine don't sound so good anymore! ;)

I was so impressed with the way the Tannoys did SCALE with such ease. To get my Von Schweikerts to do that same scale, they sound like they are workin hard. The effortlessness of the Tannoys will remain a data point for future reference for sure, which is one of the great things about the rave concept.

Hey Mike, IIRC Jim wanted to sell his smaller Tannoys ;)

Me too Jim.  What a nice day!!  Thank you for your hospitality.  Very enjoyable and well worth the drive from south shore of Longuyland. Great get together, I'm really glad I joined this group earlier in the year (well I joined Audio Syndrome, so I feel joined by association (and Paul L) to this Rave group as well ;-).

Welcome to AudioNervosa too, steveashe!!

Thank you to everyone who attended the rave at my home.  I do appreciate you thoughtful comments. I also want to thank everyone who brought food and/or beverages.  16 burgers and 22 brats were consumed; not to mention the pie, cake, cannolis,  chips, cookies, dips, salads and beverages.  The NY Audio Rave group travels on its stomach!!

Thank you Jim and Jane for a great Rave.....couldn't have picked a nicer day....glad it worked out so well.

And a nice selection of tasty treats....can't beat that !!

Good turnout...and a few new faces...thanks for attending. :thumb:

As Mike has mentioned..."...your systems "as-is" were set up perfectly for your musical priorities" ....I agree.

It was a pleasure to hear the Jardis/Naim/Tannoy combo once again....it covers "all the bases". The equipment switching in the main system worked out pretty well...with the W4S and Cherry amps....I thought the Tannoy's handled those amps very well.

Thanks again....see everyone in October !!!  :thumb:

I wanted to thank you for trying to fight the good fight on some of the AC circles despite the odds.

And to say, "So few pixels, so much hotness" re your AC avatar
