Hey there!  Missed you guys due to my daughter's 2nd birthday party.  Glad to hear Mike's Cherry PLUS was played.

I'm pretty new to AN (no profile pic yet), so it'll take a while to get used to it.

In case anybody's interested, I have some amps on Audiogon.  Anyway, hello to all my NYAR friends!

I didn't know you were there  :duh

I wanted to thank you for trying to fight the good fight on some of the AC circles despite the odds.

And to say, "So few pixels, so much hotness" re your AC avatar

Maybe I'll see you at my place in Oct?

-Mike

Mike....

"Eh...hoser"....he wasn't there....he lives in Canada....he's just having some fun....

Maybe he'll fly in for your Rave.

Allentown has an airport - what's it called, LVI I think? (Leheigh Valley Int)

It's a few minutes from Tommy's house (the poster above).

Yup, I'm very in the woods on what we call a mountain in NJ (800' elevation)

Barry (NJ)

Newark International (EWR), in Newark, NJ is also a reasonable distance, and likely easier to get a flight to/from.

Hey Mike, shouldn't this conversation be held in the "October Rave" thread(?)

Jim -  So glad I could make this rave...  You and your lovely wife extended every hospitality, even finding me some lemonade to compliment the sun, the view, and your lovely home.  It was such a nice day, and I was so surprised that Jim's big Tannoys sounded so great, too bad I never had time to try my little SET amp in the Tannoy system.  The burger and salad was just so perfect, I almost didn't want to pay any attention to the music systems. Still, both Tannoy speakers did seem quite surprising nice on the Jadis integrated amp, I was impressed by the musical magic made by these components.

The gentle breeze finally lulled me to sleep for a few minutes after the great chee-burger, choc cake, and music, and the gang was all there ( Somehow I missed seeing Josh - my apologies! ). Truly a memorable day, and a great rave, thanks Jim!

Thank you to everyone who attended the rave at my home.  I do appreciate you thoughtful comments. I also want to thank everyone who brought food and/or beverages.  16 burgers and 22 brats were consumed; not to mention the pie, cake, cannolis,  chips, cookies, dips, salads and beverages.  The NY Audio Rave group travels on its stomach!!

Soooo, this is where you guys are hiding now.  I went away for 3 weeks, and I saw nothing via the Yahoo Group link (my e-mail box....), so I was wondering while I was around the Talimakan Desert what the heck was going on.  Now that I'm back, on this sleepless night, I figured I'd check into AN; voila, all the familiar names.....  We talked about Yahoo Group, etc. last I was on top of the migration, now guess we've settled here.

Great that Barry took over because Levi has other ambitious goals.  Hope to see Levi soon, of course.   :thumb:
