I find when I play cd's I tend to do other things as well, paperwork, cleaning, cooking, with vinyl I sit and actually listen deeply.

Mike, you hit the nail right on the head. If I am in the middle of other things and want some music to go along with them, then it is CD or sure. Since I am not really paying attention operational convenience will win out of ultimate fidelity (especially since my TT is fully manual and I have to run down the stairs as soon as each LP side is over to avoid grinding into the end track.)

But when I have the mancave to myself and it is just me in the sweet spot I (almost) always reach for vinyl (never say never.)
