I'll clean them and check them out vs the copies I already own, keep the best ones for myself and give the dupes to my daughter for her newly growing collection.

It's amazing to me how may girls are interested in "classic" rock, especially prog, and record collecting.  When we were kids, it was really rare to see a girl digging through the stacks at a record store.  Now it seems commonplace (amongst the kids who actually visit record stores, that is).

I was getting jealous about all this talk about the "crack house" so I decided to check it out myself. Got a few LPs today, nothing great though. maybe neext time will be a better find. 8)

It's definately 'hit or miss', but when it's a hit, it can't be beat.

Fun little jaunt to one of the local thrift stores...

All CDs:

White Stripes- Icky Thump
Franz Ferdinand-Franz Ferdinand
Kings Of Leon-Aha Shake Heartbreak
Robert Randolph & The Family Band- Unclassified (Really excited about this one)
Iron and Wine-Woman King
Coheed and Cambria- In Keeping Secrets of the Silent Earth:3 (Latter-day prog/metal/sci-fi...looked interesting)

Jeff Buckley-Grace (Icky Christian stuff, but it is the remastered version with a "bonus" DVD in perfect condition that I could easily sell on ebay for $10)

Total cost: $7

Less $10 for selling the icky Jeff Buckley album, I'll make three bucks for getting 6 keeper CDs.  Go me!

Hi Bill-

Dumb question maybe but are you talking Double Decker Records?

I've been meaning to get out there but the last few Saturdays have been busy.

Maybe we can meet there someday (or at some other shop you might know)

He knows a couple of others, but DD is the one you have to hit.
