Poor Triode Pete is on a cruse around Florida and the Bahamas right now. Wonder where the boat will really be going or if they just stayed in port. Rough seas anyway you look at it. (Auntie Em, Auntie Em)

Their boat went to Cancun instead!!!!!!!

So, how did you guys, Evan, Joe, and Jim, fare, now that it's over? :duh  I remember, Jim's house is relatively on high ground (I remember I had to walk down to the waterside when people were going out on canoes.....), so Jim's OK?  This area generally was in the eye of Irene, so we lucked out somewhat.  S.I.?  clayish soil and low-lying..... hmmmmm.

What about you L.I. guys?  Emil, BobM, Paul (Lizard King).....?   :duh Pete will find out when he gets in.  I have a friend in that area, and they had to evacuate, as that part is close to water, and low-lying also. :duh

Hope everyone is safe.

We are all good in SI. How about you ? I'm sure Jim did well being high up above the Sound

BobM

power out since 4:30 AM this morning, just came back on at 8:30PM tonight. This is good news.

No damage tpo my home and the family is safe. Just some sticks and leaves all over the place. I raked it up this morning but then the wind picked up again this afternoon and lots more came down. There are a few trees and big branches down all over toem, but not nearly as bad as the "tree-pocalypse" that happened earlier in the year.

Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you'll have  to blow your nose.

I am high on the top floor, 27, but I just slept through, not hearing much, wind or rain.  May be that's because when I did get awakened Sat. night, the radio was on, and I barely heard some rain being splashed on the window.  Guess it's because the eye of Irene was over this area, so it's super tame.  Bad for the outlying areas, LI and western NJ people. :thumb:  Survived another disaster.  Miracle was that there was NO fatality in the NYC area. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Power was out again this morning. Bummer.  :(

Hi Everyone,

I had power through most of the storm only to have it turned off for most of yesterday due to nearby repairs.

How about Saturday September 10 for the Rave at my home?
Strong as an Ox and twice as smart

As long as I'm not working I will be there.

Sorry Jim, I am out.  Most likely will be in clean up mode for the basement for the rest of the week and hopefully get new carpets installed sometime next week.

Great to hear from you, Jim.  I'll still be out of the country, floating somewhere, until Sept. 17, so I'll be a no-show.  You guys have fun.  :thumb:

Count our blessings this time.  We really mostly lucked out.  Here's a pic of a family looking at what's left of their house (before and after).  It's a landmarked 1903 house in Nags Head, NC. , the report says.
