Any new gear or technology interest you lately ? For me it is the David Berning ZOTL amp and the CAT Ultimate preamp.

Why does it always have to be big bucks?  :duh Like I should talk...
I am hoping for someone to make a fabulous TL for under a grand.
Fat chance.

You must have some wood working shop to produce those

Sure, what do you want to know?

The ones in the background I designed and built.  8th order slopes between the tweeter/mid, 3rd between mid and woofer.  My first all out design, but with all I've learned since, I'm going to try something different for my next all out speaker.

The ones in front were a quick project.  Parts Express cabinets, all easy to work with drivers, so the crossover was designed in only a few days.  Very wide dispersion, nice deep response and dynamics from a bookshelf.  The box on the floor is for the crossover, due to the longish port and large components, there is no physical way the crossover would fit inside.  Besides, passive components don't like the resonances produced by loudspeakers and an external crossover will always sound better.

The ultimate "Black box"  " The DNA of sound, not a processor not a filter just extracts info that was there all along but never exposed ???? The much anticipated "qol" Signal Completion Stage www.bsgt.com A development by the Audio Engineering Society and Acoustical Society of America. Lets see if the Scientists got it right this time.
At $ 3995 it's a stretch but if it does as advertised wowie. Trying to get a sample to play with.

Face - I love to see these kinds of projects. They take the hobby into a whole new area where you can learn some fundamentals about what the "professional" designers have to go through to produce a component.

Please start a "project" thread for your next undertaking so we can all share in and learn some new things as you are building it.

Really pretty stuff you've produced there.

Nice work Face! Vented bass on both?  Does that baby excel ring like it's big brothers? Where did you cross it to tweet?

Yes it still rings, just at a higher frequency.  Full range frequency sweeps of the woofer without a crossover will drive just about anyone out of the room, the mid isn't as bad.  They're crossed at 2500hz.

Glad to hear.  It'll get you most of the way there, but I still like to fine tune with parts on hand.
