Solid State replacement for AR SP8 Preamp

Tmazz has a modulus 3A. Need to compare. The Pass preamp interests me.

The 3A is dark in character. In general SS preamps are quieter. Much higher signal to noise ratio.
    What Amp will you be using with the preamp. Synergy plays the most important part as you well know.
For SS Klyne, Pass and Parasound come to mind. If you check out passives Luminous Audio will make one to match the impedance's of  your CDP and Amp. Inexpensive and really very good.

Thats an interesting pre. I liked thier DAC when I heard it. I guess I could always get an outboard phono.
