11 days since Sandy and I am still without electric serv ice. Was on line with gas cans for my generator 2 nights ago and watched 4 cars in a row pull in and take less tthan $20 dollars of gas. At todays prices that is less than 5 galloons, and that is aftyer waiting almost an hour on line! If people would all just wait until they actually needed gas the thines would be dratically reduced if not eliminated.
Remember, it's all about the music........

Christy initiatiated odd/even gas rationing and it worked we have no lines anymore, I just pull up and fill up, no more worries for now.
Bloomberg just started it today in the city.

Maybe Cuomo will wake up and do the same

Good Luck

I think I would like to reschedule for sometime in January, November is busy of rme and Deepak has December so if there are no takers for January(Levi?) I will host, God willing.

I would like it to be more of a vinyl based rave as that is my passion right now, and I would like to restrict gear swapping to a bare minimun and only analogue related. (Sorry) :(

Vinyl for me has been a God send and a major relief from the nervosa of audiophilia, it has taken me back to the music and less gear oriented. I have had several systems of gear that most of you  have not heard in my house from really inexpensive to the standards we are used to, all vinyl based and all were very satisfying.
That was the original intent of my rave and I would like to stick with it. Hopefully Greg will be gracious enough to let us blast his speakers :thumb:

So January is a bit off, so we have lots of time but we know

Second half of January (after CES) would be ideal!  :thumb:

11 days since Sandy and I am still........

Better late than not.  As things settle down from this end since I came back on Nov. 1, I tried to call to see how friends are doing.  I couldn't get through to some, so I've decided to write this note - Hope everyonbe's doing fine from Sandy's assault.  I don't suippose anyone in our group lives in Breezy Point in NY or or the Jersey shores (even if not, I wish everyone well!).

We finally got heat/hot water 2 days ago downtown NYC here.  Slooooowly back to normal.  Looking forward to seeing everyone.  Perhaps at Deepak's.
