RIP David Allen Coe singer of the perfect country western song.   

I was never much of country western fan, but in the 70's I enjoyed the progressive country movement as much as the next 20 something.  I remember seeing him and BW Stevenson in a bar on South Greenville in Dallas in a previous century.

He was a great outlaw music talent.  I've got a lot of his music.  Godspeed DAC 🙏🏼

BW Stevenson died way too young.  My Maria is timeless...

Whoa.  I had no idea he had still been with us.  He must be about the last of the 1950/early 60's greats.
His high school band included jazz legends Jackie McLean, Kenny Drew, and Art Taylor.  Can you imagine that kind of talent being in one high school at the same time??
