The alternating woofer technique lowers distortion.  It has different times of arrival from the two different woofer locations.

With them all the same side they are time aligned, but slightly higher distortion.  The servo amps do a good job to start of lowering distortion.

Since these cabinets can be changed at will, decided to try the time aligned version and see what is the difference.

Yup.  Wildman! 

Makes sense with the minimal cone excursion that you have at LF to start with all of that cone area.  To be able to lower that LF distortion even more is very interesting.
