Quote from: Jack on October 11, 2026, 09:37:20 PMSo you finally put the side getter GE 6SN7's in the two outside positions?  Notice any difference to speak of?

Not yet. Need to find them again. Moved some audio boxes around in the garage. Should get to it this week.

Am waiting to hear from Mike regarding that dedicated AC line.

UCLA sure surprised me up in Oregon on Saturday. It's an interesting season for college ball so far.

If your experience is like mine the change will be subtle like Holger told me it would be. I ended up sticking with the 50's Tung Sol's that Aric sent with the Motherlode.  I've used the same variety of tubes in the past as driver tubes in the Sachs preamp and they are quiet and neutral.

Thats good on the dedicated line.  I'm sure Mike will do a good job.

That game surprised me too until I looked at the box score and saw that Oregon's All American quarterback was still out.  That win will however be good for recruiting if the NIL money is there to compete with the team across town.

From a highly educated/knowledgeable, applied science, and personal basis,
I can confidently recommend Jenalabs for cryo work. I have known
Jennifer and Mike for decades and they are trustworthy.

I only use their wire.

Here is a page explaining their education and more.

Here is another link, incredible quality recording, involving trumpet,
trombone, and tuba. One should feel they are listening live.

I'll take a subtle improvement with the way things sound now. Tonight was noticeably better than last night. Not sure if the one outlet on the UberBUSS had any or enough hours on it. Regardless, now everything is plugged into the Uber and Pete's power cord into the Uber goes into the wall. Hat's off to Dave for designing the UberBUSS to control noise to this extent 👍

Thanks, Steve. Have known about Jena for years. Maybe I bought a power cord from them many years ago. I have bookmarked their site.

Thanks, Steve. Nice job by the ladies. I've seen a group of 3 ladies playing beautiful cello iirc. But never a large group like this. As saxophone is my favorite woodwind instrument, I'd love to hear a group of ladies perform that. 🎷

Not all ladies, but a descent link that draws one into the live performance.
