Unfortunately this one has a skip near the end of side two. I could not find anything visually that would cause it, so I am going to have to give it a good steam bath and see if that works loose some kind of grunge deep in a groove that I am not seeing with the naked eye.

Damn, and I paid a whole 65 cents for this one.

Don Fagen "The Nightfly". Maybe the best recorded pop/jazz lp in my collection... and good music as well.

But to be honest with you, I go to the MoFi shelf out of habit, but I bought this album the first day it was released and thus my stock pressing was from very early in the run and sounds damn good.

All that aside, this album does represent Fagen at his best.

Just came in the mail today.

I ordered it after hearing them play it in the VAC/ Von Schweikert room at CAF. It does not sound as good at home as I remember it from the show. But then again my entire system cost less that the stands that sat under the amps in that room.
